Intro to Breath, Core, & Pelvic Floor

$10.00

In this introductory class of the 8-week Breath, Core, Pelvic Floor series, you'll learn:

  • What even is the core and how does it work?

  • Connecting to and assessing your own core and breath habits.

  • Why deep breathing is important and how to breathe well.

  • How to free up ribcage mobility for better, deeper breathing.

This video fulfills the prerequisite requirement for attending later classes in the series, either this session or future ones. The first half of the video includes some breath awareness and movement then goes into a lecture about core anatomy and function, then we dive into a feeling practice of breath attunement and ribcage-freeing movement and self-massage.

This practice is suitable for all bodies, and some chair-supported options are included. If you are pregnant, there are some parts that are not appropriate for you: skip the child's pose variation with the Coregeous ball compressing the belly/bottom ribs, and instead of lying face-down when the Coregeous ball is under the front of the ribcage, do this kneeling with the ball on a stool, chair, or bench and your chest draped over top.

Class length: 87m. Video recorded on 12/11/25.

Props: (required) chair, Coregeous ball (or rolled bath towel), yoga strap or equivalent, 1 yoga block or equivalent, and therapy ball pair in tote (or two tennis balls, etc that have some give. NOT hard lacrosse balls!)
